The year it all began. Humming Bird Education Ltd. emerged on the scene with a clear vision and mission, rapidly forging partnerships with Big Bazaar across Hyderabad and Bangalore for unparalleled brand visibility and direct sales. Embarking on both B2B and B2C fronts, our journey from a humble bootstrapped startup was set in motion.

Innovation at its core, we introduced an irresistible package: 20 computer courses offered complimentary with Olympiad enrollments. This strategic move expanded our presence into 7 states, breaking the traditional barriers to entry in schools and resurrecting our operations with vital sponsorship funds after facing a critical challenge.

This pivotal year saw the introduction of four additional Olympiads, expanding our academic repertoire and our footprint into 10 states. It was the year our hero products were born, marking our transition into a no-profit, no-loss entity.

We broadened our reach further, introducing four more Olympiads and tapping into the potential of students from semi-urban and rural backgrounds, adding three more states to our map. This year marked the beginning of profitability, with a strategic focus on stability (60%) and agility (40%).

Our vision took a global turn as we expanded our services to four countries, driven by a mature financial strategy aimed at client outreach and enhancing average order values to boost profitability. This period also marked our first recruitment of full-time employees.

Establishing an international franchise office in Nigeria and initiating franchising in India, we introduced our unique Spelling competition, overcoming numerous barriers and carving a niche in the educational sector.

Franchise inquiries surged across India, leading to the establishment of 14 franchise offices and nearly doubling our business growth. Our focus on network expansion began to bear fruit.

A landmark year where our Founder-Director Mr. Nitesh Jain was honored with ‘Asia’s Greatest Leader 2017-18’, and Humming Bird Education was recognized as ‘Asia’s Greatest Brand 2017-18’, a testament to our excellence and impact. This year also marked our transition from a Private to a Public Limited Company.

Listing on the BSE SME Platform heralded a new era of corporate structure, including the introduction of a second-level management team and the acquisition of OnMouseClick.com Pvt. Ltd., enhancing our technological offerings to schools.

The pandemic years, challenging yet transformative, allowed us to identify and fortify our operational weaknesses, laying a robust foundation for future growth.

As schools reopened, we resumed physical marketing and operations, launched physical books for the first time, and not only recovered but surpassed pre-pandemic performance levels, embodying resilience and growth.

With strategic planning aimed at exponential growth, we project at least a 225% increase in top and bottom lines. Our student-centric approach led to collaborations with ICSI and CBSE, reinforcing our commitment to delivering unparalleled quality in education.

The year 2024 marked an extraordinary milestone in the journey of Humming Bird Education Limited. With an unprecedented surge in participation, the Olympiads witnessed a record-breaking enrollment across India and overseas. This remarkable growth was a testament to the trust schools placed in our innovative assessment methodology and NEP-aligned Olympiad structure. The exponential rise was further powered by our robust school partnerships, upgraded digital infrastructure, AI-integrated mock tests, and enhanced academic support for teachers and coordinators. We also expanded our Pre-Primary Olympiad segment, aligning closely with the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) mission, and launched several new initiatives focused on skill-building and 360° student development. The year 2024 positioned Humming Bird as a frontrunner in the academic assessment space, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing brilliance at scale.

The year 2025 was defined by meaningful partnerships and shared purpose. We were proud to join hands with HCL Jigsaw as a National Outreach Partner, and to partner with the Automotive Skills Development Council for the prestigious National Automobile Olympiad as a School Implementation Partner—collaborations that extended our reach and deepened our impact across communities. We also launched our new series of Experiential Learning Books, which were warmly embraced, earning heartening feedback from parents, students, teachers and principals alike. Building on this momentum, we grew by more than 40% this year, and we are laying a strong, future-ready foundation with the ambition to grow more than 80% year-on-year—carrying our values of quality, trust and learning into every new chapter.
