The year it all began. Humming Bird Education Ltd. emerged on the scene with a clear vision and mission, rapidly forging partnerships with Big Bazaar across Hyderabad and Bangalore for unparalleled brand visibility and direct sales. Embarking on both B2B and B2C fronts, our journey from a humble bootstrapped startup was set in motion.
2011: Breaking New Ground
Innovation at its core, we introduced an irresistible package: 20 computer courses offered complimentary with Olympiad enrollments. This strategic move expanded our presence into 7 states, breaking the traditional barriers to entry in schools and resurrecting our operations with vital sponsorship funds after facing a critical challenge.
2012: The Birth of Hero Products
This pivotal year saw the introduction of four additional Olympiads, expanding our academic repertoire and our footprint into 10 states. It was the year our hero products were born, marking our transition into a no-profit, no-loss entity.
2013: Expanding Horizons
We broadened our reach further, introducing four more Olympiads and tapping into the potential of students from semi-urban and rural backgrounds, adding three more states to our map. This year marked the beginning of profitability, with a strategic focus on stability (60%) and agility (40%).
2014 & 2015: Going Global
Our vision took a global turn as we expanded our services to four countries, driven by a mature financial strategy aimed at client outreach and enhancing average order values to boost profitability. This period also marked our first recruitment of full-time employees.
2016: Franchising Success
Establishing an international franchise office in Nigeria and initiating franchising in India, we introduced our unique Spelling competition, overcoming numerous barriers and carving a niche in the educational sector.
2017: Network Expansion
Franchise inquiries surged across India, leading to the establishment of 14 franchise offices and nearly doubling our business growth. Our focus on network expansion began to bear fruit.
2018: Recognition and Transformation
A landmark year where our Founder-Director Mr. Nitesh Jain was honored with 'Asia’s Greatest Leader 2017-18', and Humming Bird Education was recognized as 'Asia’s Greatest Brand 2017-18', a testament to our excellence and impact. This year also marked our transition from a Private to a Public Limited Company.
2019: A New Chapter
Listing on the BSE SME Platform heralded a new era of corporate structure, including the introduction of a second-level management team and the acquisition of OnMouseClick.com Pvt. Ltd., enhancing our technological offerings to schools.
2020-2021: Resilience Amid Adversity
The pandemic years, challenging yet transformative, allowed us to identify and fortify our operational weaknesses, laying a robust foundation for future growth.
2022: Bouncing Back Stronger
As schools reopened, we resumed physical marketing and operations, launched physical books for the first time, and not only recovered but surpassed pre-pandemic performance levels, embodying resilience and growth.
2023: Aiming for the Stars
With strategic planning aimed at exponential growth, we project at least a 225% increase in top and bottom lines. Our student-centric approach led to collaborations with ICSI and CBSE, reinforcing our commitment to delivering unparalleled quality in education.
